I’ve been collaborating with Alissa Walker for the last year and a half on a bunch of stories about LA people/places for the New York Times T Magazine. It’s fun discovering new things about this city and also celebrating its history. I also just really love working with Alissa on our pitches and things we’re noticing. We have a lot of fun together. I’ve also been assigned a couple of stories on my own. Here are some recent stories we’ve collaborated on and a couple I just shot:
The opening of Night Market Song in Silver Lake. The east side finally got some fiery authentic (sometimes weird) thai food. Alissa and I got to go and taste everything for research and it was amazing. it’s a local favorite now:

A place in my neighborhood that I just adore, Ouli. It’s a tiny shop in Echo Park run by the sweetest most design savvy people and I love seeing them thrive.

The revamping of the San Vicente Bungalows. Jeff Klein, the hotelier behind the Sunset Tower in Hollywood, has bought the old bungalows and has grand plans for revamping this oasis in the middle of the city.
Lombardi House, a recently redone Victorian house in the heart of Hollywood is now a great event space along with a place to stay:
