Simple and versatile pieces are always the backbone of our colorful interiors that we share here with you at Oh Joy! Today, we're sharing three ways to use a console table. They make for the perfect addition to so many rooms because they are slim and don't take up too much space yet provide just that extra touch of storage you need pretty much anywhere. See how we styled it...!
In a Living Room: A console works well for small spaces. We used this one as a mini bar on the top two shelves and placed baskets underneath to hold extra throw pillows and blankets to cozy up for TV nights.

In an Entryway: The short depth of a console makes it perfect for an entryway where you need to place items as you are coming and going every day. You can combine space on top for keys and decorative objects with space on the bottom to fill with other items that you would want to greet you (or your guests) at your front door. It's easy for this area to get cluttered or messy, so adding storage boxes or baskets to quickly tuck things away (aka "hide them") is always a good idea!
In a Kids' Room: A console makes a great addition to a kids' room or play room as well. You can place baskets in the bottom with toys to be tucked away when not in use, add books to the middle shelf, and add decorative items or toys that are fun to display on top. P.S. With any large piece of furniture in a kids' room, you always want to add earthquake straps to prevent anything from tipping over.
